Q. What is expected for a student to complete to the program?
A: The program works on a level system. Each level consists of a particular length of time, and each level has different requirements the student will need to fulfill before eligibility to advance to the next level.
Q: What type of counseling do the students receive?
A: Upon entry into the program, each student is assigned an advisor to provide individual one-on-one guidance and mentoring determined by that student’s particular needs. The proven cure for life-controlling problems is based on the embracing of Biblical principles to spiritually improve the quality of her character. Students meet with the Life Skills Counselor to work through the student’s individual issues through personal learning contracts throughout the duration of the program. The Program Manager oversees each student’s overall needs and works with family, student, and staff to see that restoration is brought to both the student and family.
Q: To whom and when will the student be allowed to make phone calls and/or receive mail?
A: After 2 weeks in the program, the student will be allowed two ten minute phone calls, and one twenty minute phone call each week (days for calls are assigned upon admission into the program). A student will only be allowed to receive from persons on her phone and mail authorization list based on her current level privileges. Phone/mail usage is a privilege and will be monitored by Staff. Students are allowed mail upon entry into the program according to level privileges and authorization list.
Q: When can I visit?
A: Students are allowed a monthly pass. The time of that pass is dependent upon the student’s current level in the program.
Q: How do I find out how the student is doing in the program?
A: Each student is assigned an advisor upon entering the program. All inquiries relating to the student will be handled by her advisor. If you have an immediate question concerning your student, feel free to contact our main office during normal business hours.
Q: Will the student receive educational classes while in the program?
A: Absolutely! The students our privately accredited school, The Cross Christian Academy. Students also participate in both Personal and Group Studies for New Christians. The classes’ curriculum helps to establish a foundation of Biblical knowledge leading to spiritual growth. The faith- structured classes also develop the main goal of the program: a life-changing, continually growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Q: Can I get my admission fee back if the student leaves the program early?
A: No. The initial admission fee (not tuition payments) is a non-refundable fee regardless of the length of time a student remains in the program.
