The choice to entrust the supervision of your dysfunctional teenage daughter can be among the largest and most painful choices you’ll ever face.

If there were an all-girl boarding school for troubled girls in Woodridge, Illinois, it may be the most effective answer to helping a daughter who is displaying negative behaviors. New LifeHouse Academy is not that far away and it is specifically designed for troubled girls. The training of our staff members and the glowing experiences of New Lifehouse Academy graduates and their families reflects this. At the New Lifehouse Academy boarding school for girls, we provide therapy, education, healthy fun, and hands-on skills to turn problematic girls’ lives around.    Though it may look difficult during such a painful time, it is often best that your teenager gets away from their present environment and friends in Woodridge, Illinois. Teens who enroll boarding schools for troubled girls around their own home area are at a much higher chance of leaving the program early, undoing the benefits they might otherwise get. Admitting your girl in a safe, highly structured environment like HLHA, some distance away from Woodridge, Illinois, is essential to correctly rehabilitating your troubled teenager.

Positive effects for troubled girls can be found at HLHA’s all-girl boarding school.

New Lifehouse Academy is not like other institutions in Illinois, in that it lacks the atmosphere of an institution, instead offering a loving, homelike atmosphere where students feel safe and comfortable, while being tightly supervised. This has been demonstrated to be the setting in which teenagers find the greatest measure of success. If your teenager is exhibiting depression, anxiety, lack of self-esteem, trauma, or substance abuse problems, our program’s staff is trained to address these problems and help them to heal.    Creating comfortable and relaxed environment is crucial for helpful therapy. If girls do not feel comfortable and safe, they are not as willing to be as honest as they need to be. Our campus and therapists will treat the root issues that are resulting in unhealthy and problematic behaviors.

Teenagers struggling in their academics can also find emotional and behavioral recovery with proper support and mentoring.

The educational program offered at New Lifehouse Academy is specifically created with unhealthy teens in mind. We acknowledge that dysfunctional teens usually have fallen behind in school and are in need of individualized academic support. They need to get caught up and back on track. While academic success is, of course, the ideal, this program is structured to deal with the unique emotional and behavioral needs of ailing teenagers.     For troubled girls, therapy is required to address unhealthy thought cycles that lead to many of the issues teens are dealing with. Just addressing external issues like actions and academics will not be enough in terms of effecting a true, lasting change in these girls. In fact, once the emotional and spiritual components of these teenager’s difficulties are treated, they often straighten out in other parts of their lives, including academics and behavior. Moreover, they need months of time to practice their new thinking, in a place where their missteps are pointed out.

Substance abuse among teenagers in Woodridge, Illinois can be a overwhelming issue. For non-addictive behaviors, we can help!

Girls experimenting with substance abuse or who are displaying emotional problems will commonly avoid physical recreation, which are healthy and natural for them. At HLHA, we push for a re-kindling of their natural interest in fitness and the outdoors. Keeping teens physically active gains fitness and self-esteem, which are crucial additions to the therapy students are provided with.    Girls at this program also learn useful, real-life work skills. This teaches trustworthiness and accountability, as well as boosting self-esteem. The girls learn to balance work and play, creating a reliable and admirable work ethic and lifestyle. This goes on into their life after graduation, enabling them to become useful, productive members of society.    Within NLHA’s safe and compassionate program, girls can learn principles, and discover God. This is the only real strategy for teens to eradicate the selfishness and self-centeredness that causes most of their dysfunctional behaviors, from addiction to other conduct disorders. Within a supportive structure, and surrounded by helpful influences, students gain a new, healthy peer group that will hold them accountable and support them in their new, spiritual way of living.

Consequences facing dysfunctional teens without correct treatment

Troubled teenagers are open to dangerous behaviors which can ruin their lives. Such risks include:    Every day, over 1,400 American teens will try suicide.  The 3rd leading cause of death for 15-24 year old’s is suicide.  3,500 American teens run away from home, daily.  Every 4 minutes, a teen is jailed for an alcohol-related infraction.  Every 7 minutes, a teen is incarcerated for a drug-related crime.  Teenage girls unhappy at home have a much greater chance of being in a dysfunctional or dangerous physical relationship with a peer or an adult.   If your child in Woodridge, Illinois needs help, HLHA is here for her.
