This has been shown to be the atmosphere in which teenagers find the greatest measure of success. If your daughter is suffering from depression, anxiety, lack of self-confidence, trauma, or drug and alcohol abuse issues, our program’s staff is able to address these issues and help them to heal.    Providing comfortable and relaxed environment is essential for conducive therapy. If girls do not feel at-home and safe, they are not able to be as open as they need to be. Our campus and counselors will treat the root issues that are resulting in worrisome and problematic behaviors.

Teenagers struggling in their academics can also find emotional and behavioral recovery with correct support and mentoring.

The scholastic program taught at New Lifehouse Academy is specifically designed with unhealthy teens in mind. We understand that dysfunctional teens usually have fallen behind in school and are in need of specialized academic assistance. They need to get caught up and back on track. While academic achievement is, of course, the ideal, this program is structured to cope with the particular emotional and behavioral needs of ailing teenagers.     For troubled girls, personal work is required to heal dysfunctional thought cycles that lead to many of the struggles teens are facing. Simply focusing on surface issues like actions and education will not suffice in terms of effecting a real, lasting turnaroun in these teenagers. In fact, after the emotional and spiritual components of these teenager’s difficulties are addressed, they tend to straighten out in other parts of their lives, including academics and behavior. Moreover, they need months of time to practice their new thinking, in a place where their missteps are pointed out.

Drug abuse in teenagers in Neosho, Missouri can be a overwhelming concern. For non-addictive behaviors, we can help!

Girls experimenting with substance abuse or who are experiencing emotional abnormalities will often avoid physical activities, which are good and necessary for them. At HLHA, we foster a re-kindling of their natural interest in recreation and the outdoors. Keeping teens physically challenged increases health and self-esteem, which are crucial additions to the counseling students experience.    Teenagers at this school also learn useful, real-life work skills. This teaches work ethic and honesty, as well as boosting self-esteem. The girls learn to balance work and fun, creating a practical and robust work ethic and lifestyle. This carries on into their life after graduation, letting them to become useful, productive members of society.    Within NLHA’s secure and caring program, girls are able to build principles, and find God. This is the only proven strategy for teens to eradicate the selfishness and self-centeredness that leads to the majority of their problematic behaviors, from addiction to other conduct disorders. Within a supportive structure, and immersed in good influences, students obtain a new, healthy peer group that will hold them accountable and influence them in their new, spiritual way of living.

Neosho’s Crowder College has been deeply involved in such research since the early 1980s; in 1984, it built the first solar-powered vehicle to successfully complete a coast-to-coast journey across the United States. In 2009, the college began constuction on the MARET (Missouri Alternative & Renewable Energy Technology) Center, a facility to encourage the development of experimental programs and alternative energy systems.
