Enrolling your girl in a trustworthy, highly supervised environment like HLHA, some distance away from Jasper, Indiana, is crucial to correctly rehabilitating your troubled teenager.

Healthy outcomes for troubled girls can be found at HLHA’s all-girl boarding school.

New Lifehouse Academy is unlike typical institutions in Indiana, in that it lacks the atmosphere of an institution, instead offering a compassionate, relaxing atmosphere where students feel cared for and at ease, while being closely supervised. This has been known to be the setting in which teenagers experience the highest measure of success. If your teenager is exhibiting depression, anxiety, low self-confidence, trauma, or substance abuse problems, our program’s staff is able to face these struggles and help them to heal.    Creating comfortable and relaxed environment is crucial for successful therapy. If girls do not feel comfortable and cared for, they are not asfree to be as open as they need to be. Our campus and counselors will get to the core issues that are resulting in worrisome and problematic behaviors.

Girls struggling in school can also find emotional and behavioral success with correct support and mentoring.

The scholastic program offered at New Lifehouse Academy is specifically created with troubled teens in mind. We recognize that dysfunctional teens typically have lagged behind in school and are in need of specialized academic repair. They need to get caught up and back on track. While academic achievement is, of course, the goal, this program is created to deal with the particular emotional and behavioral needs of struggling teenagers.     For troubled girls, therapy is necessary to address unhealthy thought patterns that are at the root of many of the problems teens are experiencing. Simply focusing on external issues like behavior and school will not suffice in terms of shaping a genuine, lasting change in these girls. In fact, once the emotional and spiritual components of these teenager’s ailments are treated, they tend to straighten out in other areas, like academics and behavior. Moreover, they need plenty of time to practice their new thinking, in a place where their missteps are pointed out.

Substance abuse among teenagers in Jasper, Indiana can be a crushing issue. For non-addictive behaviors, we can help!

Girls experimenting with substance abuse or who are experiencing emotional abnormalities will often avoid physical recreation, which are good and appropriate for them. At HLHA, we encourage a re-discovery of their God-given interest in recreation and the outdoors. Keeping teens physically challenged gains health and confidence, which are crucial additions to the counseling students receive.    Girls at this school also learn applicable, real-life work skills. This teaches trustworthiness and integrity, as well as boosting self-esteem. The girls learn to balance work and recreation, leading to a reliable and robust work ethic and lifestyle. This carries on into their life after graduation, allowing them to become viable, productive members of society.    Within New Lifehouse Academy’s safe and caring program, girls can learn principles, and find God. This is the only effective method for teens to eradicate the selfishness and self-centeredness that causes most of their dysfunctional behaviors, from addiction to other conduct disorders. Within a healthy structure, and immersed in good influences, students develop a new, healthy peer group that will hold them accountable and encourage them in their new, principled way of living.
