Teens who go to boarding schools for struggling girls inside their own home area are at a much higher risk of leaving the program early, cancelling out the benefits they might otherwise receive. Admitting your girl in a trustworthy, highly structured environment like HLHA, some distance away from Cicero, Illinois, is vital to successfully rehabilitating your troubled teenager.

Positive effects for troubled teens can be found at HLHA’s all-girl boarding school.

New Lifehouse Academy is different from other institutions in Illinois, in that it lacks the atmosphere of an institution, instead providing a loving, relaxing atmosphere where students feel safe and comfortable, while being highly supervised. This has been demonstrated to be the background in which teenagers find the highest measure of success. If your teenager is suffering from depression, anxiety, lack of self-confidence, trauma, or substance abuse issues, our program’s staff is qualified to address these problems and help them to heal.    Building comfortable and relaxed program is essential for helpful therapy. If girls do not feel at-home and safe, they are not asfree to be as forthcoming as they need to be. Our campus and counselors will get to the core issues that are causing worrisome and problematic behaviors.

Girls struggling in school can also achieve emotional and behavioral recovery with appropriate support and mentoring.

The academic program taught at New Lifehouse Academy is uniquely built with unhealthy teens in mind. We understand that dysfunctional teens typically have lagged behind in school and are in need of individualized academic assistance. They need to get caught up and back on track. While academic excellence is, of course, the ideal, this program is created to deal with the particular emotional and behavioral needs of ailing teenagers.     For troubled girls, personal work is necessary to heal problematic thought patterns that are at the root of many of the issues teens are dealing with. Simply dealing with external issues like behavior and education will not be enough in terms of effecting a true, lifelong turnaroun in these young people. In fact, once the emotional and spiritual components of these teenager’s problems are addressed, they often straighten out in other parts of their lives, including academics and behavior. Moreover, they need plenty of time to practice their new thinking, in a place where their missteps are pointed out.

Alcohol abuse among teenagers in Cicero, Illinois can be a overwhelming issue. For non-addictive behaviors, we can help!

Girls experimenting with substance abuse or who are displaying emotional issues will frequently avoid physical recreation, which are healthy and necessary for them. At HLHA, we foster a regaining of their innate interest in exercise and the outdoors. Keeping teens physically active increases health and self-esteem, which are crucial additions to the counseling students are provided with.    Students at this facility also learn effective, practical work skills. This teaches work ethic and accountability, as well as boosting self-esteem. The girls learn to balance work and fun, building a reliable and robust work ethic and lifestyle. This goes on into their life after graduation, allowing them to become useful, productive members of society.    Within NLHA’s secure and supportive program, girls are able to gain principles, and find God. This is the only proven method for teens to overcome the selfishness and self-centeredness that leads to the majority of their problematic behaviors, from addiction to other behavioral disorders. Within a healthy structure, and surrounded by healthy influences, students develop a new, healthy peer group that will hold them accountable and influence them in their new, principled way of living.

More about all-girl boarding schools for troubled girls in Cicero, Illinois:

Cicero is an incorporated town in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 83,891 at the 2010 census. Cicero is named for the town of Cicero, New York, which in turn was named for Marcus Tullius Cicero, the Roman statesman and orator.
Originally, Cicero Township occupied six times its current territory. Weak political leadership and town services resulted in cities such as Oak Park and Berwyn voting to split off from Cicero, and other portions such as Austin were annexed into the city of Chicago .
Al Capone built his criminal empire in Chicago before moving to Cicero to escape the reach of Chicago police.
The 1980s and 1990s saw a heavy influx of Hispanic residents to Cicero. Once considered mainly a Czech or Bohemian town on 22nd Street (now Cermak Road), most of the European-style restaurants and shops have been replaced by Spanish-titled businesses. Cicero has also seen a revival in its commercial sector, with many brand-new mini-malls and large retail stores. New condominiums are also being built in Cicero.
Cicero has long had a reputation of government scandal. Most recently, Town President Betty Loren-Maltese was sent to federal prison for misappropriating $12 million in funds . She was well liked by retired, long-term Cicero residents, but was continually challenged by younger Hispanic opponents before her indictment, and had strong ties to members of the Mob, including her husband.Citation needed
Cicero was taken up and abandoned several times as site for a civil rights march in the mid-1960s. The American Friends Service Committee, the Rev. Martin Luther King, and many affiliated organizations, including churches, were conducting marches against housing and school de facto segregation and inequality in Chicago and several suburbs, but the leaders feared too violent a response in Chicago Lawn and Cicero. Eventually, a substantial march (met by catcalls, flying bottles and bricks) was conducted in Chicago Lawn, but only a splinter group, led by Rev. Jesse Jackson, marched in Cicero.
