This has been demonstrated to be the background in which teenagers experience the highest measure of success. Children struggling in their education can also achieve emotional and behavioral recovery with appropriate support and mentoring.

The educational program taught at New Lifehouse Academy is especially built with troubled teens in mind. We understand that dysfunctional teens often have lagged behind in school and are in need of specialized academic assistance. They need to get caught up and back on track. Although academic success is, of course, the ideal, this program is structured to address the unique emotional and behavioral needs of troubled teenagers.     For troubled girls, personal work is essential to heal problematic thought cycles that are at the root of many of the problems teens are experiencing. Just addressing external issues like actions and academics will not suffice in terms of effecting a true, enduring change in these teenagers. In fact, once the emotional and spiritual elements of these teenager’s difficulties are addressed, they often straighten out in other parts of their lives, including academics and behavior. Moreover, they need months of time to practice their new thinking, in a place where their missteps are pointed out.

This carries on into their life after graduation, allowing them to become viable, productive members of society.    Within NLHA’s supervised and supportive program, girls are able to learn principles, and discover God. This is the only proven method for teens to be rid of the selfishness and self-centeredness that causes the majority of their problematic patterns, from addiction to other conduct disorders. Alamogordo is the county seat of Otero County and a city in south-central New Mexico, United States. A desert community lying in the Tularosa Basin, it is bordered on the east by the Sacramento Mountains. It is the nearest city to Holloman Air Force Base. The population was 35,582 as of the 2000 census. Alamogordo is known for the Atari video game burial of 1983. It is also famous for its connection with the Trinity test, the first explosion of a nuclear (atomic) bomb.
Humans have lived in the Alamogordo area for at least 11,000 years. The present settlement established in 1898 to support the construction of the El Paso and Northeastern Railroad, is an early example of a planned community. The city was incorporated in 1912. Tourism became an important economic factor with the creation of White Sands National Monument in 1934. During the 1950-60s, Alamogordo was an unofficial center for research on pilot safety and the developing United States’ space program.
