Michael Lokey –
Executive Director

Michael Lokey is the Executive Director at New Lifehouse and Teen Challenge of Oklahoma Adolescent Centers. He and his wife, Summer, have four children and live in Jay, Oklahoma. Mr. Lokey served as the previous school administrator of The Cross Christian Academy for seven years and has spent more than 20 years in public and private education.

Since coming back to Teen Challenge, he serves as Executive Director and the current school Administrator. He graduated from Evangel University with a Bachelor of Science and Northeastern State University with a Master of Education. Throughout his time at Teen Challenge, he has served on many school accreditation teams for AdvanED and ICAA. Mr. Lokey has felt a calling on his life to see hope and restoration in young ladies and their families by pursuing a Godly standard of excellence at New Lifehouse.

Debra Sheckels – Program Director NLH

Deborah Sheckels is the Program Director of New Lifehouse Teen Challenge. She has been married to her husband David for 31 years. She and her husband have raised four boys, one girl, and have five beautiful grandchildren. She has been involved in church ministries, specializing in youth and leadership ministries, for more than 25 years. She has been manager of several retail stores, along with leading worship teams, outreach teams, leadership teams and more. The last position held before coming to Teen Challenge was at a local church in Vinita, Oklahoma where she and her husband had been in ministry for more than 14 years.

Rachel Nicholson – School Dean of Students

Rachel has been working for New Lifehouse Academy Teen Challenge for over 9 years. Before coming to New Lifehouse, she worked at a boys’ facility for teen offenders while also working as a Program Director of a Christian camp. She was an active youth sponsor at her church during this time and loves combining her skills to help minister to hurting teens.

While at Teen Challenge Adolescent Centers, Rachel has been a classroom monitor, Kitchen Coordinator and Lead Direct Care. She is currently the Dean of Students and Athletic Director at The Cross Christian Academy. Rachel finds great joy in coaching basketball, volleyball, and track. She uses the coaching time to teach many life lessons as girls compete.

During her childhood, Rachel experienced years of abuse. The Lord has led her through a time of spiritual healing and spiritual growth. It was during this time, Rachel truly developed a relationship with Christ. Rachel has her Associates Degree in Criminal Justice and is an ordained minister with Global University. She hopes to one day be a Program Director for a Teen Challenge facility.

Zach Williams – Life Skills Program Manager and Creative Arts Director

Zachary Williams is the Life Skills Program Manager and has been with Teen Challenge Adolescent Centers for four years. He comes to us from the great state of Ohio. He graduated from Central Bible College (now Evangel University) in 2013 with a B.A in Counseling Psychology.

In Sept. 2014 he moved to Disney, Oklahoma where he came on staff as Direct Care and has since worked as the Lead Direct Care and Classroom Teacher for Teen Challenge Adolescent Centers. In addition to currently overseeing the life skills department, Zach serves as Campus Pastor and Creative Arts Director, combining his passion for the Arts and his desire to see students reach their full potential. Zach is a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God and one day plans to open a center for hurting and broken individuals that combines his counseling education and his love for Creative Arts.

Amy Lynn Marshall – Admissions Coordinator

Amy Lynn Marshall is the Admissions Coordinator at Teen Challenge of Oklahoma Adolescent Centers. Her husband Adam also works for the Adolescent Center’s direct care at Brush Creek. They and their young daughter join us from Central New York. Both Amy and Adam, having been through struggles and tribulations as teenagers and young adults, have always felt a call to spread the love we can all find through Jesus Christ, especially to youth with life controlling issues. After working with their hometown youth ministry for a few years in Central New York and Amy also working in customer service, they began to feel a pull from the Lord to expand their reach.

Erika Walls – Executive Administrative Assistant

Erika Walls is the Executive Administrative Assistant for New Lifehouse. Erika graduated from New Lifehouse in 2012 and interned before leaving to get married and have three wonderful children. She returned to New Lifehouse in 2017 and is dedicated to helping students and families in seasons of doubt and uncertainty. Erika hopes to one day run a girl’s program and continue to put hope within reach of at-risk teens./p

NLA is a Christian therapeutic boarding school for troubled teenage girls offering teen counseling for girls with adoption issues (reactive attachment disorders), self-harm (self-mutilation) or cutting, or eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, anorexia nervosa). We offer counseling for troubled teens and out of control teens and especially work with RAD girls and adopted girls with emotional disorders. If you are searching for residential treatment centers for girls, troubled youth homes, troubled teen schools or troubled teen boarding schools, you have found one. Homes for troubled teens and boarding schools for teens don't typically offer teen counseling and therapy, but we do. A top therapeutic school, NLA may also be referred to as a "school for troubled teens". Troubled teen schools and residential treatment programs for teens are often quite costly, but this one of few residential treatment centers and residential schools for teens that is affordable. NLA is an all-girl school that provides troubled pre-teen and teenage girls with counseling and adolescent therapy. It is more relational and helpful long-term than boot camps and military schools. The Christian therapeutic residential school and home for troubled girls serves at-risk teen girls from homes in the Midwest, including Oklahoma, Missouri, Iowa, Texas, Arkansas and Illinois.
